THE CONFIDENCE OF GOD’S PROMISE

As a 3rd generation pastor and leader, Dr. Matthew Thomas has a rich ministry legacy rooted in India. Born and raised in the Northern part of India, Dr. Matthew Thomas had a growing curiosity in the sciences. He spent his early adulthood earning his Bachelors & Masters in Science from Sagar University and he later became a professor at a private college in Hoshangabad, India. Due to internal trouble within the institution, the college was temporarily shutdown. Shortly after however, God opened a door for him to move to the United States. While in America, Dr. Thomas earned his Th.D and Ph.D and began to delve into the business world. Serving as the President of the Chamber of Commerce for 2 consecutive terms in the Southwestern Suburbs of the Chicagoland area, along with an array of versatile experiences equipped Dr. Thomas for a new chapter in his life.

THE COMFORT OF GOD’S PROTECTION

In the early 1990’s, a time when religious tensions and persecutions had heightened in India, God called Dr. Thomas to carry the vision of his father, the late Dr. (Rev.) Kurien Thomas, F.R.G.S., a pioneer of the faith in North India. Dr. Thomas, a flourishing businessman in the States, responded to God’s calling and left his secular orientations to enter into full-time ministry in Central India. Under his leadership, Dr. Thomas established Central India Outreach (CIO) which embodies House of Hope (Orphanages), Central India Theological Seminary (CITS), Central India Vocational Instructional Centre (CIVIC), Central India Mercy Clinic (CIMC), Central India Restoration Centre Lives Empowered (CIRCLE), and Indovision 20/20.

Dr. Thomas currently serves as:

  • President of Central India Outreach
  • President & Principal of Central India Theological Seminary
  • Chairman of the Fellowship of Churches in India (connecting over 1100 churches)
  • Secretary, Pentecostal World Fellowship
  • A frequent lecturer in various U.S. Bible Colleges
